CHURCH

We finally made it to church! Franzi and me really had trouble finding it, and so we asked that old lady if she can give us directions.after getting us totally confused she wanted to kno where we're going - we were wearing nice skirts and our hair was done, u dont get to see that alot on sundays in germany. i showed her the card with the adress and told her that it was the church of latter day saints. oooh my gooosh. she gave us the creepiest look like she was gonna run away and then she was wondering why we were wearing skirts because she had heard that mormons are not allowed to show ANY skin ANYWHERE so they always go to church in big turtle-necks. hahahaha. okay whatever. we had to ask a couple times again before we finally found the church. it kinda looked like the bel aire ward. and there was a german , and a english one. we went in the englisch one. and they were watching gerneral conference. it was really cool just to see all the people again talking about church in english. sometimes i caught myself thinkin i was in kansas, looking around for kristin and derek or just wondering why it was so quiet -> brock always made sacrament so much more fun! haha
Its too bad we didnt get to talk to anyone, just the missionaires. fun day tho.

Franzi's back

Finally Franzi got back from D.C.
Its so great to have her with me every day! Again, i realized how much i missed her.

time to spread my wings

Its been a while since i left Wichita now. I finally figured how the internet in our apartment works on my laptop so I can start workin on my blog again.
So imma try to catch up a little.

Im back in Germany now, and it feels like I left part of me in Kansas. At times it is really hard. Considering everything that happened to me, all my ups and downs over the year, leaving was by far the hardest part.
Im so greatful for the Ackers, they are amazing and like the most loveable family i've ever met! Words really cant express how i feel right now, but I'm sure they know it.
Im so glad they became part of my life, that part just made it so much better and I kno I'll always have a home in Kansas with them.
They became a part of me, and I'll never let go of that part.
I hope they know how much I love them!

Prom '09 =]

This was our Senior prom!! Jeff picked me up at my house, when bella saw me first thing she said : wooow sophi i love your wedding dress! haha really? do u guys think i look like im getting married? that wasnt the purpose at all for that dress and i doubt that by the time i get married ill still fit in it! so we met the other couples at waterfront, to take pictures together. we were lucky with the rain because right about when we got done, it started poring! we had dinner a a mexican restaurant, it was really good and my dress felt like it was 3 sizes smaller afterwards. It was such a fun night! Thanks guys :)

Senior Pictures

5k run!!!

This morning we all got up at 6.45 am! Some of us were still really tired... ;) We went to the zoo, and ran a 5 km race. It went around the zoo and trough it. Everybody did amazing! Jaxson ran it in 29 min, it took me 28 and grace beat her score by 6 minutes!! She got kinda mad when kris pushed her over the finish line i think she was emberassed. haha :) thanks guys for an awesome day!!!

D.C.& NYC

I went to Franzi's house over spring brake. we had such a great time and her family is so much fun! I miss them all already! Franzi and got to have some " sister tiiime" and i'm sure she'll always remember my skills to mess up a room in less than 5 seconds. haha. thanks franzi i love u!
